[if someone hasn't already told her, that needs to be remedied, even if sizhui's the one that has to do it. luckily for him, he's mostly unchanged, aside from the large white rabbit ears and horns that have appeared atop his head, both of which have taken some adjusting.

so, unsurprisingly, there's the softest aggrieved sound on his end of the phone, a sigh and ‘ouch!’ before he finally answers,]

Ah, greetings, miss Yanli. I don't quite feel entirely like myself and my new...appendages...have taken some getting used to, but other than that, things seem to be alright for the moment. [another indignant-sounding huff and then he continues with,] How are you doing, though?

[since, of course, the youngest ones have to look out for each other and all, too!]

I'm fine, feeling larger than life, you might say, but nothing painful or concerning.

( being a dragon? might be concerning, but she hasn't lost her sense of steadiness, which means she's doing great as far as she's concerned. She can check in on everyone, and That's Important. It's grounding, when she's been in body dysphoria for... a time, now. )

Sizhui-gongzi, what new appendages have you been gifted with? If it's not too direct to be asking, I've seen... all manner of strange things.

I'd suggest that outwardly, I may have changed entirely. At least I can't recall anything of myself looking particularly dragon-like before, and that's all of the self I have right now.

( the features he ends up listing off are utterly baffling to her. those are... not features she knows of any one animal? rabbits don't have antlers? )

Those things can take some getting used to, but the rabbit ears—I have a feeling they suit you well.

Tails can be... a challenge, but less so, when wearing loose layers, I'd think?

at the remark about rabbit ears suiting him, he's suddenly very glad they're only on voice, that way he can reach up and touch the velvety appendages as they droop near his shoulders without her seeing.] I suppose you're right, huh? Considering... [well, he doesn't need to say, does he? given she knows zewu-jun and hanguang-jun.]

Changing into my pants from home has helped, it seems. Far better than the ones I bought with Ashe.

[relentlessness is an emerald gembond trait, so it's unsurprising that such a thing shows up in different aspects of sizhui's personality, and it just so happens to be excitement in this moment. he does tamp it down somewhat though, reminding himself the changes could make people feel more self-conscious, given how drastically they seem to be able to change.

at the thought, he reaches up and touches a soft bunny ear first, rubs it between his fingertips then moves to tap a pointed antler. mmm, maybe he should give himself a little leeway there, too.

That was kind of her to do, I'm happy she was able to help. I know the clothing styles here have been... different from what we know. Finding something similar enough to robes has been a challenge. I'm learning to enjoy some of the styles, I think, and many of the materials? There's such a variety of them here.

( not that this is a fascinating topic for all, but she does personally find it fascinating. the materials, at least; she's still a touch overwhelmed by the styles, with everything else going on. now she's far too large and awkwardly shaped for anything, so she supposes that's one simplification in their altogether complicated situations. )

Me too. I've had some robes replicated from the ones I wore here and the sets that are in my qiankun pouch, but I also realized layering can feel somewhat familiar. Not in the same way, but pretty close. [a quiet uh-huh! of agreement then he excitedly continues,] The styles are a bit trial and error, the fabrics are wonderful if you get the non-itchy ones, though! Some of the sweaters I have are made from this super soft knit fabric... I could wear them forever.

[admittedly, the styles are quite different, but sizhui's stuck to the things that mostly cover everything and should he think something needs another layer, he'll add until his discomfort has lessened.]

I'd love to see these sweaters sometime.

( and she would; they sound interesting, and what the heck is one anyway? there may be a touch of amusement in her voice at the word, one more to learn in a series of endless new vocabulary. )

[they are close to the same size, aside from sizhui maybe being slightly wider in the shoulders, but that just means most of his bigger than normal sweaters will be extra comfy!]

( Chances are she mostly won't borrow unless he actively prompts her to do so, but it's sweet of him to be thinking like this, and she doesn't turn down the kindness of the offer. )
